Almost all functionality is controlled via the app which can be run on an android, and now also apparently also IOS phone/device.
You can get the app here:
Current version of the app at the time of writing is 1.4. I’m using 1.3.8 here because my phone is old and apparently won’t run v1.4 which just came out (4/9/25).
Also it turns out the development devices I’ve been using thus far have a few less features (immobiliser etc) than the retail units so some of the screenshots may be a little different. I only became aware of the differences once the first retail device was unlocked and will try to update the screenshots when I get the chance. There’s a lot to write about on these support pages first though, and that’s a higher priority for now.
I have the app mostly working on an android 7 phone but as of v1.4 that’s no longer supported. Android 11+ recommended apparently. I have no idea yet re IOS devices/versions, but will update here if i find anything out.
This guide is a work in progress but is being updated regularly (last update: 6/9/2025)
Where the ♦ symbol appears that’s a potential bug/issue I’m aware of and have likely raised with Tuneboss HQ, but don’t have a solution for just yet.
